This lovely black standing prayer wheel has been handmade in the Himalayas. It is decorated on the central section with the eight auspicious symbols or Ashtamangala. The wheel also features decorative variations of the Om Mani Padme Hum mantra. When the wheel is rotated it is thought that it has much the same meritorious effect as reciting the mantra.
