A truly remarkable piece of craftsmanship, this extra large, heavy weight gong has been individually hand hammered in Kathmandu, Nepal. This style of gong is similar to the Tam-tam or Chau style with a turned down rim. Due to the careful process of their manufacture, each of these gongs has a unique and amazing tone with a wide and versatile dynamic range. This beautiful gong has been hand etched with various Buddhist motifs including yogic stances, the vajra thunderbolt and various mandalas including a large central flower of life. Supplied with a beater and strung on good quality cotton rope. Unique item. There is only one of these available.
