Carved Lion Head In Roots
About this product
This sculpture is a stunning piece of craftsmanship. Hand carved from a single, solid piece of suar wood, the lion's mouth is open in an incredible roar, a mane of amazingly detailed hair flowing behind. Skilled artisans have created this spectacular piece on the beautiful island of Bali.
Lions hold a cultural significance in Bali, and are a symbol of strength and courage. A 'singa' is a winged lion and is a figure often found atop temples to offer protection.
