Lunar Bowl No.102

£288.00
Special Item. Only 1 available.
About this product

These very special Lunar singing bowls are produced on the day of a full moon. Each bowl bears a special inscription and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Standard singing bowls from Nepal are made from five metals: copper, iron, tin, lead and zinc. The major components are copper and tin which make up the bronze alloy often referred to as ‘bell metal’. The other metals are present only in very small amounts.

However, for full moon lunar bowls and other high-end bowls, there is an additional ten grams of silver and two grams of gold mixed into every 100kg bronze alloy mix. The gold and silver have no discernible effect on the sound, but rather, they represent the purifying aspects of the sun and moon and are said to have astral significance.

Each bowl comes with a complimentary beater made from a locally grown tree near to where the bowls are forged called 'Haldu' or 'Haldina'.

Please refer to common inscriptions shown in images, which adorn many of these beautiful bowls. However, please be aware that each bowl is unique and may differ. If you have any questions about a unique singing bowls, please contact us.
