A truly impressive artisan mask depicting the elephant god Ganesh. This large scale piece has been hand carved and hand painted by a very talented team in Newari, Nepal. A very popular Hindu god, he is known as the 'remover of obstacle', deva of intellect and wisdom and as the patron of the Arts and Sciences. A figure with the trunk of the left side is believed to represent Ida Nadi which is 'lunar energy', more feminine and nourishing, and therefore ideal for having in the home.
