Gold Plated Laxmi Statue No.407
About this product
This stunning statue of Laxmi has been hand crafted using the traditional 'lost wax' technique. Initially a wax model is created and encased in clay to create a mould. The wax is then melted away - 'lost' - and the hollow that is left is filled with molten metal. Once this hardens the clay mould is broken away so there is now a metal replica of the initial wax model. Laxmi (or Lakshmi) is highly regarded in both Buddhism and Hinduism and is the goddess of wealth, fortune, power, beauty, fertility and prosperity.
