This fabric is known as Mish style, a very traditional weave in Guatemala. The material used in these specific stoles is made by an artisan called Julian Cua (72) who lives in Totonicapán. These fabrics were made using a foot loom and with the use of the foot pedals, they separate the threads and create each piece.
