Guitar Retablo

These wonderful little scenes are a popular form of folk art in Central and South America and are known as retablos. They often depict religious themes and scenes of traditional life. This version depicts a guitar-playing skeleton or Calavera, a common style in Latin America that is most frequently seen around the Day of The Dead festival.
