These handmade mouth harps are a traditional Nepalese musical instrument, and they are one of the oldest musical instruments in the world. The Nepali word “Murchunga” translates as jaw harp.
They are played by placing the between the teeth and plucking the metal wire reed with the forefinger. Using puffs of air, inhaling and exhaling, you can adjust the tones and loudness.
They are made up of brass and iron and come packaged in a wooden block to protect the trigger.
