Tibetan Style Travelling Altar Box No.399
About this product
Handcrafted in Kathmandu, this beautiful travelling altar box is both ingenious and beautiful in its construction. The box itself is hand painted with patterns of colourful flowers and elements of Buddhist iconography such as the two Vajra on either side of the box. When the top is opened, the box is transformed into an altar with three windows for placing statues of deities. Beneath this is a metal tray for burning incense, sticks of which can be stored in the specially designed long side tray of the lid. The altar has a pull-out platform for placing the seven included offering bowls as well as a drawer for storing the bowls, statues and other devotional items.
